One of the highlights of each year for me is attending the Rotary International Convention. It is a wonderful feeling to attend the opening ceremony of the convention with thousands of people who believe that the world is and can be a wonderful place, it just takes a little effort on the part of each person on the planet. Oh I know it isn't nearly as easy as they make it sound or look, but I also believe they are determined to make the world the best place it can be and I'm delighted to be a part of that in some small way.

In the Rotary 2002 section you will find pictures of Jerry Lewis performing at the closing ceremony -- and grainy pictures like the one above from his receiving the award for raising money for MDA. There you will also find pictures of Mikhail Gorbachev speaking to the convention. For those who have never been to Barcelona, Sagrada Familia is a cathedral that they began construction on in 1882, and they now say they hope to have completed by 2021. It is a labor of love for generations of stone masons in Spain. Last but not least, Sitges is a beautiful little town by the Mediterranean Sea.
